Registration is now open for our annual fall professional development day.

Hosted by Volunteer Management Professionals of Canada and broadcast live from Hamilton, Ontario, AVR-SK is bringing this interactive event to Saskatchewan again this year. In consideration of physical distancing, we have decided to offer it fully virtual for 2020. Register as an individual and watch it from the comfort of your home or office. Or, register as a group and participate together from one single location.

Each individual or group registered through AVR-SK will get a link to the conference and will join breakout activities with others from Saskatchewan. Through the breakout activities, we will still get to (virtually) meet and collaborate with our local network.

About the Conference

Hosted by Faiza Venzant, CVA

‘Managing Risk: Balancing Aversion and Innovation’ is the volunteer management conference presented by AL!VE, Better Impact, and VMPC (Volunteer Management Professionals of Canada). Now in its sixth year, this year’s topic will explore how balancing aversion and innovation to risk impacts our volunteers, programs and agencies, now and in the near and far futures. Our current streaming event will consist of four 20 minute presentations, followed by a moderated discussion with the other presenters (think Ted talk meets late night tv), including responding to questions from the audience.
